Washington DC

I feel like I did back in school when I used to get a full summer vacation. I’ve just returned from my third and final vacation of the year. I thank God for blessing me in the way that He has this summer with so much time to relax and enjoy life after so much hard work. I also want to thank State Auto for the cruise I went on and Grange life for the trip to the Bahamas and most recently, my week long vacation with Stephanie and the kids in Washington DC.

I would say that this week we spent in Washington DC was the best family vacation I’ve ever been on. Of course I love History a great deal and it was so awesome to actually look at the original Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. However, what really made this vacation special was the quality time I got to spend with my wife and children. I spent every waking moment with my family through the whole vacation and it was so great for us all to be together. On the first day out in the Capital City, we walked about five miles and we didn’t know it until we got back to our hotel, it was actually 106 degrees on the National Mall that day! Not everyone was in a great mood the entire walk, as you can imagine, but the places we visited and the great times we had made it all worth while and quite memorable.

I’ve got 98 pictures of our trip to DC in my photo gallery and I’ve also made a six minute slide show/video set to music. I put in about eight hours total in setting the transitions of pictures and video clips to go with the music just right. If you have about six minutes to spare, I’d love for you to check out the video of our trip to Washington DC.

Bahama Bikers Movie Project

NOTE: The Right Mirror was missing off my bike before the filming of this video!

Well the time has finally arrived! Yes, I’ve made my very first movie. Actually, it’s more of a short music video of sorts. I recently went on a cruise to the Bahama’s with my friend Robert Johnson. He and I decided to live dangerously and rent moped’s for the day. I say dangerous because in the Bahama’s they drive on the “Other Side Of The Road!!!” As if this were not crazy enough, I decided to go at the driving through the island one-handed so that I could get some video footage from my digital camera.

So I had video footage… Put that together with the fact that I recently found out that I have Microsoft Movie Maker on my laptop and tada!… I put together this short video set to music with a little bit of narration. The total movie is less than 3 minutes long. The file is about 12 megabytes. If you have high speed access, it should be nothing to view right from your browser. However, if you would like, you can right-click the link below to “Save Target As…” And choose to download the file to your Desktop.”
